Shri. Narayanasamy
The Founder's Vision
The founder of this website, Late Shri. Narayanasamy, visited all 266 Padal Petra Shivasthalams in Tamil Nadu and meticulously gathered and documented accurate information about each temple. He dedicated his retirement years to compiling, curating and sharing this wealth of knowledge through the website, with the intention of making these sacred temples and their rich heritage accessible to all. Over the years, his efforts also helped create awareness about certain long-neglected temples and inspired devotees to contribute towards their renovation. Having completed 20 years since its inception, the website continues to serve as a valuable resource and has guided many devotees in their endeavour to visit these iconic temples.
Publications
His articles on Parihaara Sthalangal were published in the Tamil daily Dinamani’s e-paper and were subsequently compiled and published as a two-volume book set by Pinnacle Publishers. Links to the original articles are also provided in the Tamil version of this website for those who wish to read them. See Parihaara Sthalangal
Preserving the Legacy
In his memory, his daughter now maintains and preserves his digital legacy. The website he carefully curated over the years is currently undergoing a comprehensive redesign, giving it a fresh and modern look while remaining true to his original vision. Alongside this visual transformation, the English version of the website is also being meticulously updated to make his life’s work accessible to a wider audience across the world. As part of this ongoing effort, information on 230 temples has already been translated into English, with the translation of the remaining temples continuing steadily.
