Shri. Narayanasamy
The Founder's Vision
The founder of this website, Late Shri. Narayanasamy, visited all 266 Padal Petra shivasthalam in TamilNadu, and meticulously gathered accurate information about each temple.
He devoted his retirement years to compiling and curating this website. His efforts not only made valuable information widely accessible but also helped inspire donations for the renovation of certain long-neglected temples.
The website has completed 20 years since its inception, and has guided many in their endeavour to see all these iconic temples.
Publications
His articles on "Parihaara Shalangal" were published in Tamil Daily Dinamani's e-paper, which were later published as books in two volumes by Pinnacle Publishers.

A Life Well Lived
After almost two decades of actively visiting temples and documenting information, at the age of 80 years, Shri. Narayanasamy peacefully left this mortal world, just three days after returning from his Kasi Yatra on 21 August 2023.
Preserving the Legacy
In his memory, his daughter now maintain and preserve his digital legacy. The website he had carefully curated over the years is currently undergoing a comprehensive redesign, ensuring a fresh and modern look that does justice to his vision.
Alongside the visual overhaul, the English version of the website is also being meticulously updated, making his life's work accessible to a wider international audience.
As part of this meticulous effort, the information detailing 170 temples has already been translated into English, with the translation process still ongoing for the remaining temples in this collection.
